It's a Sin to Tell a Lie - Ukulele Chords

Today we're tackling "It's a Sin to Tell a Lie". This song was originally written in 1936 by Billy Mayhew and recorded by numerous artists including: Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, and The Ink Spots. It's a fun little ditty to play on your ukulele since it transfers to the uke so nicely. Just to give you an idea, here's a version of it that I did....

Now it's your turn! As always, if you're not sure about the chord formations, a couple good resources to help you out are the ezfolk.com ukulele chord chart and my personal favorite, the Ukulele chord finder. If you use the Ukulele chord finder, make sure that you click on the "soprano - C" tuning on the right side of the page...otherwise you might get really confused. Hope you enjoy playing this one as much as I do!

please note: the G7+5 is just a fancy chord that I throw in for fun so if you don't like how it sounds, just toss it out.

C.........................................B7.....C
Be sure it's true when you say I love you
.....................E7.....F......A7.......Dm
It's a sin to tell a lie
G7............................................C
Millions of hearts have been broken
D7...................................................Dm...G7
Just because these words have been spoken
G7+5.......C............B7.....C
I love you, Yes, I do, I love you
............................E7............F.........A7........Dm
If you break my heart I'll die
...............F...............Fm.................C.......E7....A7
So be sure that it's true when you say I love you
...........Dm....G7.....C
It's a sin to tell a lie
